the girl behind gatsby

why hello there! the name is mackenzie. i am an 80 year old woman cleverly disguised as a 20  21 22 year old girl. i’m convinced my name would be myrtle and i’d be extremely good at bridge.

i’m a reluctant floridian who recently moved to boston to attend college after a year off to work odd jobs to pay for my spontaneous plane ticket buying problem hobby ( new york city. boston. chicago. san francisco.) i currently live in my beloved city of boston and between hours of undergrad schoolin’ i swing-dance, hold hands with my cat, and eat a lot of food that costs anywhere between free {favorite price} and $5.

this blog is a chronicle of my life. the  things that make me giddy. things that make me not so giddy. and everything in between.

  1. i don’t know what took me so long to read this, but i’m so glad i did. i wish i had a plane ticket purchasing problem. my life would probably be more exciting. looks like i’ll just have to live vicariously through your adventures. and yes, PLEASE let us be best friends.

  2. Oh, my gosh. Thanks for leaving a little comment on my blog, because it took me here. Etymology. Dressing like a librarian… How did I not find you earlier? I’m currently flicking through your archives, I love your blog!

  3. I don’t know why I haven’t read this before, but seriously, yes. Yes to everything above. If you like basement cafes, you would love Java Break in Lawrence. It is literally a coffee shop / cereal bar (yes, cereal) in a basement downtown. The walls are graffitied and the coffee is delicous and it’s open all night. Definitely one of my favorite places in town to study.

  4. I just love this little about me. I feel like we would be great friends as weird as that sounds. And you’re so cute, again – how much more creepy can I be.

    I just love it.

  5. Wow you sound awesome – how did it take me so long to find your awesome blog?! It is people like you who make being nerdy look so damn cool! 😀 Definitely checking back here a lot more in the future. 🙂

  6. Thank you so much for your lovely comment! I’m always happy to hear about other people’s experience! It’s very scary, and I’m just hoping to find a nice family! The fact that I know London well and have family and friend there helps a lot! Take care x
